Ebony Magazine Kowtows to False Republican Outrage

Unnecessary apologies seem to be the order of the day. Especially when it comes to Black branded media. It began when Lemieux tweeted a statement critical of Black conservatives. From there, it branched into an exchange between Lemieux and RNC Deputy Chairman Raffi Williams. Zimmerman “Celebrity” Boxing Match Canceled

Detractors of online activism have been proven wrong again. For the past few weeks or so, there was an uproar on the internet about a planned boxing match involving George Zimmerman and DMX. What makes this story more infuriating, is that the man is claiming that he shot McBride “by accident”  How plausible is that? As some will remember, the similar case of Jonathan Ferrell back in September played itself out in a similar way. The difference...

In voicing his opinion on the matter, Lemon plays into the fears of increased crime should the process end. Lemon, like many proponents of Stop and Frisk make a correlation between lower crime and the enactment of these measures. It is a correlation that is untrue according  to the work of the New York Civil Liberties...
